Kerly Music formed after its founder Sean Kerly merged his nighttime passion for guitar playing with his daily experience at an Aerospace day job. Tired of being let down by strings that break and sound dead, he sought to improve the way a string feels, sounds and performs, By exposing a string to extreme hot and extreme cold temperatures, Kerly found what he'd been looking for.

Since then, players from all styles and genres have found a new string of choice that allows them to enhance their playing, create more and express themselves better than they had with other brands of strings.

All the Kerly Music Strings are seasoned through a patented metal tempering process that exposes them to minus 320F and plus 350F for 24 hours. The treatment strengthens the strings at the molecular level, adds tonal crispness, increases durability and dramatically resists corrosive elements that reduce the life and tone of your strings. Tuning is less frequent and a smoother surface feel is created with stellar bendability.

Kerly's CYCLECOAT process uses repetitive Hot/Cold cycles that close up the microcracks that cause tonal loss and premature breakage. It's the microcracks in normal strings that allow a string to go dead or break quickly. We close up the cracks and our strings counteract sweat, corrosion and quick breakage.
